Description and progress of the culinary tour in the multi-ethnic district of the Lower East Side in Manhattan

The Lower East Side was Manhattan’s most populated and ethnically diverse neighborhood in the 19th century. Life teemed between its Tenements between different communities who left their mark in this authentic neighborhood. Between vibrant murals and a statue hidden on a roof, let yourself be carried between several flagship culinary establishments for a gourmet and cultural visit at the same time.

On the Lower East Side culinary tour, you will taste the following specialties:

• A tasty toasted sesame seed bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon that melts in your mouth!
• Three exotic flavorful Chinese raviolis cooked to perfection with small onions and full of flavors
• A savory condiment from the neighborhood’s Jewish tradition: which one will you choose?
• A whole decadent donut with an original taste (go for the crème brûlée one, our favorite)
• A decadent chocolate-covered pretzel in one of the neighborhood’s oldest candy shops
• A bit of vegetables (need to eat healthy right ?) with a creamy soup and homemade cornbread by the bubbly Tiffany, an American who loves Paris ;-).

Duration and prices

Your Lower East Side dining experience costs $69 per adult and $59 per child (up to 12 years old). A minimum of 4 people is required to validate a reservation for a small group tour.

Our public tours  are confirmed subject to a minimum of 4 participants. If fewer than 4 participants are registered then Your New York Story reserves the right to offer another time slot or refund the visit.
